Episode 28: I Declare War on the Confederacy (150 Years Too Late)

In the wake of the tragic shooting at a churchi in South Carolina, Governor Nikki Haley called on state legislators to vote to remove the Confederate flag from the grounds of the South Carolina state capitol, stirring up a whole hornets nest of controversy. Why is it that 150 years after Civil War, we're still debating this? In this episode, I'll take a look at the history of the Confederacy and the flag that represented it. I'll take on the revisionists who want you to think that the Civil War was all about "states rights" instead of slavery and their attempts to rebrand the Confederate flag as a symbol of heritage instead of hate.
